As we advance to the next decade of progress at the faculty, this comprehensive academic vision is guided by a singular vision to achieve excellence in all aspects of our mission as a faculty in particular and the University as a whole: research, education, service, and engagement. These goals and strategies form the basis for informed decision-making for faculty and staff hiring, infrastructure, operating budget, and space allocation; all in support of our extraordinary disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and educational programs. The faculty will gain momentum toward achieving the aspirations articulated above. These aspirations will make the faculty serves as a beacon of research and academic excellence as well as a centre for innovation, integrity and social service to communities. We will aspire to be a leader in many scholarly, research, and innovation areas. Our way forward will include exciting opportunities and notable challenges. Record numbers of undergraduate applications and support for student success will enable the faculty to become extraordinarily selective. We will work hard to raise our dear university’s status in the range of public universities. We will embark on many initiatives, these will include hiring more faculty over the next few years as we increase student intake to ensure the quality of teaching and learning. We will in partnership with the industry develop more industry-based programs to make our students more marketable. We will also make our research findings available to the relevant industries. These innovations will help our faculty in particular and the university as a whole to secure our place as an institution of the highest rank among public research universities. We will continue to pursue investments from donors, industry, and the state which we believe will be instrumental in the dramatic growth and impact of the faculty. We will be rebuilding, renewing, and enhancing our infrastructures and academic programs through strategic investments. With regards to these, the faculty will assume the responsibility to define the path to excellence through a new academic vision that builds upon the foundational mission statement of the University and its core values.
